Group Classes 411
- Group Classes are offered on a per-session basis.
- Classes are 6 or 7 weeks in length ( please make note of session dates during registration) and there is a makeup week if instructors cancel a class during the session.
- If participants miss a class we will attempt to place them in another class of the same level on a different day/time if there is availability.
Group Classes Registration Policy
- Registration for group classes occurs online.
- First-come, first-served.
- Participants in the current group session have an early Bird Registration window that opens up on the Sunday prior to public registration. (See website for dates for each session)

Babyfish Level 1: Water Acquisition
Babyfish Level 1: Water Acquisition class is for children under the age of 3 with a caregiver. In this class you will learn through play and songs while enjoying spending time with your little fish as they begin their acquatic journey. Skills taught include; a gentle introduction to the water, introduction to various swim aides , assisted floating on front and back and beginning breath control. Safetly skills are also introduced, these include; holding onto the side of the pool and safely climbing out of the water.

Babyfish Level 2:
Water Exploration
Babyfish Level 2: Water Exploration class for children under 3 years of age with a care giver. Skills taught include; water conditioning, water safety, continued water acquisition, beginning breathe control and beginning front and back floats. Your little fish will safely and gradually learn to hold their breath through gradual submersions with the assistance of their trusted care giver. This weekly 30 minute class includes songs, skill section, learning proper use of swim aides, practice time, review of previous skills taught and play time.

Babyfish Level 3:
Pre-school
Babyfish Level 3: Pre-school class is for pre-school aged children (with or without a care giver). Skills taught include; water safety, beginning breathe control and independent front and back floats. This weekly 30 minute class includes songs, skill section with the use of semi aides, practice time, review of previous skills taught and play time.

Bluefish
Level 4
Bluefish/ Level 4 is a beginner class for children over the age of 4, class is 30 minutes in length. Skills taught include; water safety, breath control, independent submersion, floating on front and back (with and without support) gliding, kicking, proper use of flotation supports and beginning stroke skills.

Sailfish
Level 5
Sailfish/ Level 5 is a Intermediate class, swimmers glide into Sailfish when Bluefish skills are mastered. Skills taught include; proper breathing techniques, retrieving objects from bottom of the pool, treading water, survival floats, continued water safety, freestyle and back stroke development with flutter kick. Breast stoke and elementary back stroke are introduced with whip kick. This class is 30 minutes in length.

Swordfish
Level 6
Swordfish is an advanced class for swimmers to improve their competence in all strokes and become water safe deep end swimmers. Swimmers will increase stamina and endurance while improving their stroke technique and effectiveness. Advanced water safety skills are taught. Class is 30 minutes in length.

The Advanced class is for the proficient swimmer. All stroke techniques are refined for greater efficiency and effectiveness. This class is designed for endurance building, fitness, as well as swim team readiness. Classes include long-distance lap swimming, drills, water game, races, and self-rescue skills. This class is great for summer swim team swimmers and those preparing for year round competitive swim teams. Focus is body position, stoke technique to increase speed and overall performance.

Swim Fit is for children who have mastered the basics of at least 3 strokes. Focus is on Summer Swim Team Readiness Skills, mastering the 4 competitive strokes, flip turns, and FUN! This class is for swimmers that enjoy summer swim teams and are staying fit and ready throughout the winter for summer swim as well as working on all around fitness.

S.W.I.M. Squad
Special Needs Only
This class is for individuals with special needs who can swim Freestyle and Backstroke (adapted is ok). Swim Squad helps individuals continue to build stroke and lap-swim skills, keep active, and have fun in a small group of similar peers. The ultimate goal for this group is to help individuals develop skills that will help them feel more comfortable with larger groups of similar, blended and/or typical swimmers. This class is 35 minutes in length for 6 weeks. 1:4 ratio.
